Jennifer N. Harris, Esq.

Ms. Harris has over a decade of civil litigation experience ranging from individual contract disputes to multi-million dollar fraud claims. In 2016, Ms. Harris successfully defended a celebrity client falsely accused of fraud; Plaintiff was seeking over a million dollars in damages against the Client. After a jury trial in Federal District Court, the jury found in favor of Ms. Harris’ client on all counts.

Ms. Harris began her practice in 2008, focusing primarily on contract and tort lawsuits, representing both Plaintiffs and Defendants in unlimited jurisdiction (over $25,000 in damages) in the Superior Court of California. In 2013, Ms. Harris litigated hundreds of fraud cases in each of the four Federal District Courts in California and State Superior Courts all over the State of California. Ms. Harris also appeared in Federal Bankruptcy Courts up and down the west coast, litigating fraud cases.

Ms. Harris’ experience goes beyond the trial court level as she has successfully appealed a number of decisions at the State and Federal Appellate Court level.

Over the past decade, Ms. Harris has served as Counsel in a variety of legal actions including negligence and personal injury cases, legal malpractice, wrongful termination cases based on discrimination, harassment and retaliation, civil rights cases including excessive force and deprivation of due process of law, and unfair business practices cases. Ms. Harris also has experience as a criminal defense attorney representing clients charged with DUIs, other misdemeanor offenses, and a strike level felony case.

Through out her years as a civil litigator and trial attorney, Ms. Harris would also on occasion take family law cases by referral from friends and family. In 2015, after an influx of family law referrals, Ms. Harris decided to officially incorporate family law into her law practice.

The Law Office of Jennifer N. Harris was formed with the specific intent of offering clients expertise in multiple factions of civil law. Ms. Harris’ experience offers our clients a unique level of representation across the board.
